Exactly. Bugs as a survival food are a good thing to know.

But of course I haven’t a clue what bugs are safe/harmful/best/most-least-valuable/etc…

I’m not _totally_ opposed to eating bugs. If I can’t find protein any other way, you can bet your bottom dollar I’m eating bugs. But I’m gonna stick to cows, chickens, eggs, pigs, goats, deer, elk, moose, bison, lambs, ducks & geese, seafood…then nearly complete plant sources such as rice and bean combos…and then I’ll eat my cat, your dog, and then my dog and then your horse and then my horse...and then I’ll eat the bugs.

So, yeah, I see a role for bugs in my diet. Potentially.

If they can make a decent low-carb flour out of crickets, I'd consider it. The currently available options are either not low enough in carbs to be worthwhile or just crap.
