You can turn these off by unselecting notify me.

i don't see that anywhere in my interface. is this part of the live stream? what if you missed the stream, can't set to not be notified?
in any case thats a very bad default
This only works when the stream is active and for that user, what if you dont want to get any live stre notifications?
