There is nothing in the first amendment that says propaganda from a foreign power committed to the overthrow of the constitution should be permitted. The fact that there was no Internet when the constitution was created means that threats to our political independence and sovereignty that comes through it should be given the same serious consideration that armies and navies were given when it was written. Silicon Valley business tycoons aren’t experts on national security just because they’re rich. The threats to our way of life have changed and our thinking and planning needs to adapt.
