While not the “only way forward”, open OS and PWA are essential for mobile. They are a necessary market pressure on Apple. Nostr needs to be on Apple, even if it is hampered a bit in the beginning. I think too few people care about software freedom to force a change.

Look at the millions who are using Mostodon and Nostr.

They care when it impacts them. It was that way with the internet in the 90s.
