I made the jump to full Linux a few years ago. People often make the jump to Linux because they are pissed with the corporate controlled OS's. Linux reminds me of the good old days of Windows 95 when everyone was learning about the internet.
Linux has a lot of opportunity for retro gaming with multiple emulators and a few frontends. LaunchBox doesn't run on Linux but EmulationStation DE works great.
Arch?
Red Hat?
Debian?
Ubuntu?
What desktop environment?
KDE?
Cinnamon?
Gnome?
Xfce?
I tend to prefer Debian based. Right now, because of work I run Kali everyday, but I recently started playing with Parrot. I’ve used Ubuntu a lot in the past, but I’m not as happy with it as I used to be.
I'm currently running MX Linux.
Nice. I actually just did a bit of research and it sounds like pop os might be a great choice for me, I think I’ll give it a shot
Pop OS looks to be doing their own custom desktop environment but is very Gnome looking. If you come from Windows then KDE and Cinnamon will be most familiar.
