Agreed, unless you are looking to become something larger than just an account. If you hope to sell or create here a nip05 simply distinguishes you from others.
I am with https://nostrplebs.com/ its a great group and the nip05 was rather cheap. If you have you own website you can do you nip05 from there to.
There are free options (don't know them off the top of my head lol) if you decide to have one. But really there's no point
