Best worst memory i had in bitcoin was trying to mine on my laptop and digitalocean in early 2011.

I downloaded a wallet on my windows laptop and couldn't get it to work and didn't understand anything. Spent a weekend fucking around with it and gave up. A few months later I rented a server on digitaocean and got a node running but still had no idea what I was doing.

I saw the node was doing initial block download in the logs and tought it was mining. Lol I was never very technicaly proficient peron so I fucked around with that to a few days and though fuck this I'll just buy some.

I found a norwegian guy on localbitcoin a p2p exchange and calculated that I maybe could afford 500 bitcoin around 250 USD total at the time. But I was going on vacation with my kids so I really couldn't pull the trigger and thought again fuck this shit, its to difficult and won't take off anytime soon with a user experience like that.

So I went on vacation and back to the gold and silver trap for years....

So what's the moral of the story? For me its never ever give up before you really tried your best and understand wtf you are doing. 😂

Moral of the story should be “250? Fuck it, that’s cheap.”

Wow that was so close. Literally the meme that has the guy w the pick axe about to reach the treasure yet turns back at the last minute

Lol yhea man

Moral of the story is to know the future. I've missed out on so much money just because I remembered backwards instead of remembering forwards like I should have...😫
