This is so good Alana! I don’t understand why anyone would give an ounce of their energy to trolls when that is what they want. They are sick, attention seekers looking for notoriety.

My son says the greatest lesson he learned from his first year at his military college was “What his triggers were and how not to respond to them.”

We would all be better off if everyone did that.

One thing for me is I refuse to spend my time and energy arguing with someone about something that:

1. They’ll never change their mind on

2. I don’t really care if they do or not

Smart. I found that I became terrible at this on Twitter. Baited by the algorithm and I fell for it hook, line and sinker.

The only thing I’ll discuss with someone forever is Jesus. Everything else, I’ll give my opinion if asked, willing to discuss, but not willing to argue at a brick wall.

Valuable lesson your son learned!! Especially in a society increasingly veering towards buckling under the pressure to consider everyone’s triggers before speaking or doing, like others personal vulnerabilities are landmines we have to avoid or we are responsible for their explosions. It’s up to us to identify what they are within us and learn to manage them lest they control us.
