Is it just me or is AI art losing popularity?

My feed used to be filled with random image generations, now I haven’t seen any of those in weeks.

I know that there are communities dedicated to creating AI art and there are also experiments to make it realistic. But it lost its appeal among the masses – at least this is my perception.

I think the novelty has worn off. The hype around AI in general seems to have died down quite a bit. We may now enter the plateau of productivity where we find out what it's actually good for and what it's not good for.
