I started my health journey about 10 years ago starting with just basic weight lifting. Between then and 3 years ago I was aimlessly drifting from fad diet to fad diet swearing that each one was the solution.
3 years ago I finally became properly oriented with my nutrition understanding that there are no inherently “bad” food groups and a lot of it comes down to how the food is raised/grown and how it’s prepared.
I eat heavy animal-based diet primarily with red meats and real dairy coming directly from a farm where I know the rancher. I add in fruits, sourdough bread, and sometimes fermented veggies. There are still foods I won’t eat out of digestive and personal preference like spinach, broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables.
There is a grain of truth with every fad diet, but every fad diet throws out the baby with the bath water.
