I've put off traveling to the States for two years, now, and my enthusiasm has only waned further, in the meantime.
Nothing Trump has done, lately, has made me more eager to travel there.

Yes, since this year. A biometric passport or biometrics submitted at immigration. No visa or visa-waiver.
Other direction, you need biometric passport and visa/waiver. Since 2016.
