A short story about a bird
A little birdy was learning to fly one day. Her mother coached her on how to flap her wings to lift off the ground. The little birdy jumped up and flapped her wings over and over until she flew for a few seconds. When she landed she picked up a twig she was looking at then turned around and flew back to her mother. Her mother said, "Good job. You got the twig. But you know you didn't have to fly over there. You could have walked." Little birdy was surprised by what her mother said and asked her, "If I could have walked to the twig, why did you teach me to fly?" Her mother said, "Because you needed to know you could fly before you had the confidence to get it." 🐥
