I was using cashu.me and it worked for a bit now it is having quite a few issues with NWC and primal.

Yes, for security reasons. If you do some research on some of the recent hacks on web-based services like this (I won't name names here...), you'll find that they were improperly using Nostr keys, attempting to use them to secure funds, and those funds were lost.
I just started using primal built in wallet for zaps and have no complaints. For everything else… self custody. I’m going to try moving from CLN to LND soon. Eager to learn from other experts what is actually best.
I mostly use Wallet of Satoshi.
Sometimes I use primal, its built-in wallet works nice (also easy to NWC for other clients).
I once tried strike, which also works flawless.

Try rizful.com -- it's built for uptime and security. Some of the other major services (not naming names here....) have had security vulnerabilities as they ask you to log in using Nostr, which IMO is bad security practice. Mixing up your funds with your Nostr private key is dangerous.
