Does this remain true at any fee? What if opening a lightning channel costs $10? $100?
You do realize that you can earn lightning sats and not on-chain sats, right?

Well, a channel has to be open for you with an onchain transaction. I suppose employers would probably do that, or some 3rd party payroll service.
