Wouldn’t it just be a matter of tracing the transactions until they touch an identifiable transaction with your name attached in some manner?

But that would be the case for all KYC free btc right? Not just atms
Coinjoin and coin control are important tools that must also be used to prevent traceability and UTXO linking.
i like the ethos of P2P exchanges, so i view it from that PoV.
but yea, i would think you might as well use acceptable institutions and mix if you’re concerned abt privacy

If you use one you will see that it’s far from KYC-free. Ive done it to test them and they always ask for some type of identifying piece of information
Only true p2p is cash in-person.
The BTC machine I was going to use over the weekend required a drivers license # & a cell phone number. Nope.
If they didn't ask for your identification, it's no-kyc.
If you merged it with other coins you KYC d that has nothing to do with the ATM.
Or even worse if you sell the coins at a KYC exchange...
