A lot of people's nodes at home aren't publicly reachable so they don't get counted in that.

All this is true but I still stand by what I said. If you’re a bitcoiner and don’t have one you need to correct that.
Agreed. I've been running a full node for years but usually behind a firewall.
Mine is over tor 😂
But it still talks to plenty of other nodes.
