Is this new? Do you have to KYC now in Primal to activate the wallet?

Yes, soon or later these kind of information will be required for custodial lighthing wallets. Why the surprise?

If you don't want this, you need to activate nostr wallet connect using your own lightning node and connect it in Primal.

Not true. Look into #cashu

https://cashu.space/

For iOS you can use #eNuts with npub.cash and nsec.app using NIP-46

For Android you can use #minibits

Not likely if you use some mint like with ecash wallets.

Because I am using Primal and don’t recall that I had to KYC to use the wallet

Fake info and 10minutemail.com will get you in.

Always was required. It sucks.

No, I never KYC’d with Primal

I use it some times never KYC, but I think since they had the built-in wallet the wallet always required email, so I never used it.

Hmmm, maybe I had to give them a mail address, but for sure no name or place of residence or birthday. I might have used hide-my-email by Apple, so Primal/Strike don’t have my real mail address.

everyone should assume you will need to full kyc eventually with these primal wallets. its not if but when.. there are alternatives 🫡
