I was having a discussion today with a guy at work who was a migrant from India himself a few years ago and even he thinks the migration is out of control now. We are just ending up with more food delivery drivers that have used back doors to get here. I’m not against limited migration if it is bringing in people that have useful skills and it is sustainable but that isn’t what has been happening.

The immigration now is solely to fuel the housing ponzi. It’s got nothing to do with addressing skills shortages or connecting families and everything to do with kicking the can on the inevitable bubble burst.
Nobody wants to tell the Boomers that they fukt the country and there’s no exit liquidity coming to buy them out, it was all just fake numbers in a commbank computer and their lifestyle only continues to exist because of the Indian UberEats class living 10 to a house are the only thing keeping rental demands high.
The illusion will shatter eventually.
