I dont think they are. Not at the grassroots level.
Election wise both the #UK and #French systems worked as designed, to gate keep power.
Here in the uk only 30% of voters (in only a 50% turnout) voted labour. Of that number the vast majorities reason was "to get the tories out".
The younger gen z and older Gen alpha are moving more to the right.
But ultimately at the end of the day these old definitions dont matter.
It's becoming more and more a realignment of top to bottom. People are slowly realising it's us the people against an elite class.
And the elite are being defined buy their ideologies rather than their class background.
