I don't think you understand, the Reino de Mexico was where modern Estados Unidos Mexicanos is, and Spain ruled from Florida (a spanish name) to the Yucatan (part of the Reino de Mexico), there was no need for political ploy to claim shipping routes, as the islands possesed by the french are far away from the gulf. Spain used to own it and named it Gulf of Mexico. Who owns it now? Who owns the Persian gulf? Are you willing to change the Gulf of Mexico for the same reason some would change the Persian Gulf? Or different standards for different regions? It is a real pain in the ass to learn that a couple centuries ago whoever selled more maps gets to name a region, alas propaganda has always been a pain in the ass.

So heres the reason.

The Biden administration wanted to torpedo the oil industry in the United States. On day one Biden signed an Executive Order to shutdown a pipeline. Did the guy even know what he was reading?

At the end of Biden's term he signed I believe Executive Orders again that stopped new drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. That was how it was "legally" written.

President Trump simply found a work around by renaming it Gulf of America. That was pretty funny.

Now about that darn autopen problem.

I can't find much except some news on 6 January 2025 with an executive order that encompasses, among other regions, the eastern gulf of mexico, what I don't understand is why would Trump not revoke an executive order, seeing that he is president and has the same powers as the previous president. Does he not? I'm not in full knowledge of the US constitution.

I think that was why I had question that it was an Executive Order but it was because of a "legal" name dispute. It might have been a Bill it was in then.

President Trump also doesn't want to do everything with Executive Order because it can potentially be undone by the next President and the general public is also so dumb about the Constitution that the optics of being a dictator is also a concern.

In all reality none of what Biden did matters because it was a false election. They cheated in so many ways it was unreal. Once in Office the autopen was being used to sign documents and even pardons while Biden was sleeping on the beach.

When it's all said and done President Trump will have enough evidence (a lot of their own documents) to deem both Biden and Obama administrations nell and void. We just have to wait for the public to catch up to speed.

Kind of makes you wonder who was running the country. I'm sure it was an elected official and not a government overthrow.
