0xchat looks really cool. It has a nostr feet with lots of cool feature like seeing posts filtered by likes. Is this a client that should be used with the main npub? Would it cause a problem if I’m using the same npub in Damus and 0xchat or better to use a new npub for this?

I set mine up with a separate key pair because I didn’t want to risk my main key, and also because I don’t want just anyone being able to start a chat 😂

It’s not that. I have Android and use it, but not as my main device. 1.5 billion people use iOS and your solution to how to login to 0xchat to any of them them is to switch to Android? This is such an old and pointless tech argument.
I choose nostr as my leading tech not the OS/hardware. If OS restricts my ability to use the best nostr features then I ditch it.

I don’t know lol I’m not logged into any other client with that nsec. But yea if they have your npub they can send you a message. I guess you can block them, so it’s a little like Telegram that way. Idk, I just wanted separate npubs for this.
So far I only trust Damus, Nostur and Freerse with my nsec. I’ll use it with a new npub for now

The whole “you haven’t fully experienced nostr if you’re not on this client” argument doesn’t make sense to me. If the super feature of nostr is the portability of your keys, then there shouldn’t be a “special” nostr client. The special client is whichever the user decides to use
