There should be a post immage button, it should then give you the link and maybe a preview?

I'm not sure about Damus tho, never used it

Most of the times, you only need to copy and paste valid image links (jpg, png) to any post that you want. The image will be shown by the client that you are using.

You will need to upload an image to your domain, then post the url for that image on Damus…

If you do not have a domain, you can use https://nostr.build
