Need help.

Im out of zaps.

About 2 weeks ago after switching to nip verify myself I lost my ability to receive zaps. I use Primal mostly. And I now can’t receive zaps.

@ODELL zapped me 1000 zaps almost a month ago just after I activated my primal wallet. And Im now outta zapping to give.

As I’m becoming more involved I’d also like to participate and support.

I need to fund my wallet and I’m a bum at troubleshooting this stuff that is all new to me.

Or perhaps set up a new lightning wallet?

I currently seem to be stuck with primal default wallet not functioning properly.

Is there a crash course or another thread for newbs like me to teach ourselves to fish.

I need to learn all the things.

If you’re a newb like me - where did you start?

I was wondering as I tried to ⚡️ you.

I’m far from an expert but did you first try clicking your profile in primal, click “edit profile” and scrolling down to make sure “Bitcoin Lightning Adress” has a valid address in that field?

As in an address like “xyz123@primal.net”

I am just making that example address up, so of course use your own. It could be another address, like wallet of Satoshi, etc. (not that it should be WoS though 😜)

Try another address in Bitcoin Lightning Address and see if that works. If not it’ll be a more technical issue that I probably won’t know how to fix. Someone else surely will know though.

you can put any LN address in that field. WoS and Alby are pretty good starter wallets. then Zeus or Mutiny but I wouldn't bother with channel management for a couple of thousand sats.

I struggled with same issue (could send but not receive zaps) and after multiple attempts with different wallets tried ZEUS which linked seamlessly with primal and was fully functional

I hope this helps…but as I am technically retarded I don’t have much else to offer🤷🏽‍♂️

See my other reply for my fix.

But before i got it sorted. I also tried Zeus wallet. I couldn’t get it connected through primal. But i was able to fund my default primal LN through Zues.

I wanted my Zuespay to be my default though. 🤷🏼 all a learning curve.

GO TO YOUR PROFILE.

CLICK EDIT PROFILE.

PUT YOUR PRIMAL LIGHTNING ADDRESS (OR ANY OTHER LN ADDRESS) IN THE LIGHTNING ADDRESS FIELD.

PRESS SAVE.

I got it sorted. I had to redownload the app. When I verified my nip something funny happened. So i reverified after install and re-inserted my default primal LN and fixed.
