How did we manage to purchase a million dollar property without selling any of our bitcoin or without the use of a bank loan? Thinking outside the box;

Co-purchased with my mother-in-law, bought the property from her dad (he's 92 and couldn't keep up), got it for under market value, under the condition we would care for him, took private, interest free loans from multiple parents, and divided the house in two by putting in a suite.

I bought everything i could used for 1/10th the original cost, did all the work myself (took a year), and counted my labor and material against the loan from my mother-in-law (her asset also gained value from suiting it out).

Used cash saved up for reno costs. We now live multi- generational. There are 4 generations under one roof. Everyone wins. Grandpa has his daughter to care for him until his passing, i take care of construction and maintenance, we have grandma for child care, we split all costs, and i can run my business from our property.

By not selling bitcoin, our holdings have already 3x since purchase. Loan is getting cheaper to pay off each cycle. We have less exposure to real estate market and still get a place to live.
