Good afternoon,

For those that are unaware, the idea of Free Software is confusing to those who do not use GNU/Linux operating systems and learning privacy by starting with your threat model.

The idea of Free Software has 4 freedoms, which are as follows:

0. The ability to run software as you wish to for any purpose. To clarify this, for any ethical and lawful purpose.

1. Learning how a program works and changing it to your specific needs. The software needs to have its source code available in order to do this.

2. Sharing and distributing copies of Free Software to help others.

3. The ability to share and distribute modified versions of Free Software. By this being done, one can benefit off of someone's changes to the original software, provided that the source code is available as a precondition.
