FULL STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS 👇

•Step 1: Preheat the French press with hot water (around 200°F). Fill it to the top and let it sit for a moment.

•Step 2: Grab your coffee beans and a spoon. Also, get your scale ready.

•Step 3: Weigh out your desired amount of coffee. (In the video, we chose to do 60g, but you can customize based on your preference.)

•Step 4: Grind your coffee beans. (Tip- Aim for a consistency similar to coarse sea salt.)

•Step 5: Add the coffee grounds to the French Press

•Step 6: Pour in hot water. (A general rule is to pour until all the grounds are fully saturated. Many people start with a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio—1 gram of coffee to 15 grams of water—but you can adjust over time to suit your taste)

•Step 7: Swirl the French press gently, then let it sit for about 30 seconds to allow the coffee to "bloom."

•Step 8: Fill your French Press with more water until it’s ~1 inch from the rim.

•Step 9: Place the lid on and slowly press the plunger halfway down, then pull it back up. This helps ensure an even extraction by fully saturating the grounds.

•Step 10: Let the coffee steep for ~4–5 minutes. Then, slowly press the plunger all the way down.

(Note: Waiting too long or not long enough can lead to over- or under-extraction.)

•Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
