Discussion
before I wasting my time explaining maybe you can read this journal :
without looking at other journals:
- german scientists who wrote their study in german are first to confirn that smoking cause cancer. prior to this, smoking are heavily promoted as a healthy habit in many english speaking nations.
there are more obviously, but that would be a good start to the discussion.
tldr; the publication bias towards "non-english" goes beyond just the language of the scientific discovery, there are also biasness towards non english author / scientists, even if the author speaks perfect english.
so the problem isnt about "there is no science beyond english", but rather, " science in non english publication are often neglected"
There is also the topic of how thinking in a certain language might facilitate/hinder certain ideas.
haha i doubt it tho. most of the time you will design your study in the native language. the english only comes at the final part of the stidy when you are writing the report
What are you studying/working at?
I get the point though.
This makes sense as well. Most funding likely comes from the US given they have the most money.
Most third world scientists go on to study at English speaking schools.
Still, doesn’t disprove my point.
