Yeah, from what I've read, anything symmetric is at best subject to the rate of improvement over classical computing defined by Grover's algorithm, although there are multiple paths now. Asymmetric is a different story, but this is mitigated when public keys are not directly exposed themselves (until the very last moment) (e.g. Bitcoin) and PQC.
