Does "position in mempool: 56 MB from tip" means that there are currently this many MBs transactions to clear before mine? Thanks #plebchain

Why not just check https://mempool.space/ and search for your tx in there. I don’t think that’s how it works, it’s probably more about priority based on your fees. 🐶🐾🫡

I did. But I can only see the next 6 blocks, right. My transaction is way down the line as I paid low fees. I am not concerned, just wanted to know if my assumption is correct.

Ok. If it’s way below and fees don’t decrease, there is a chance it’ll get purged and never confirm. Your assumption may be as well correct, but probably in the same fee range of transactions (my assumption). So, if you want it to confirm sometime soon, you may need to bump fees if your transaction allows it! 🐶🐾🫡

How purged?! Wouldn't it sit in the mempool until the fees come down or it clears? Never heard of purge before. I don't mind waiting for now, it has been 500 blocks already.

Yes, assuming no new transactions get added. But as transactions will inevitably be added, many will come in front from paying a higher fee than you. So your transaction may not clear for much longer than the next 56 MB
