I’m pretty sure he’s a big drivechain supporter too. I love the adversarial thinking, but you’re free to share a different opinion than him.

Lightning is clunky, and there are lots of concerns of edge case protocol failures, but ultimately it is a tool which can potentially 10x Bitcoin scaling. I’m going to keep using it until there is more evidence of plausible critical flaws.

Calling out problems with things everyone thinks is great is cool, but we need solutions to the payments problem. Until a better solution with less complexity or better security is suggested, Lightning must continue to be developed and improved upon.

I think there is plenty of time to solve all of these problems. There's a difference between what payment solutions people need and what they are actually using, until then on chain will work as a store of value. The market for fees will supply an ongoing incentive to find a solution for payments.
