Very cool! I signed in using nos2x-fox, trying to create my first bookmark and getting the following:
Uncaught (in promise) Error: can't serialize event with wrong or missing properties.
Tried to log in to Gitlab to create an issue using Github id and it throws a 422. I’m just breaking shit everywhere.
Whoops, that's weird. Thanks for testing it. It works well with Alby browser extension, but should of course work well with any. I don't know about GitHub IDs in gitlab, but anyhow we will look into this
I can create a standalone Gitlab account to upload logs etc. Are you all planning to use their issues system?

Great to hear it's working for you 🎉 Yes, we hope for some little funding for those kind of features by Geyser. We ask less than a year of subscription will cost at centralized solutions such as Pinboard, and need some people believing in Nostr ethos as an alternative for social bookmarking.

Tags won’t really matter until you have scale. Global will at least open things up for people to see what social bookmarking looks like.
Given any amount of traction you are going to run into spam just like any other nostr global feed does. But if you are being attacked at least you are worth attacking 😂
You might also want to seed a global feed with a bot (even if it’s curated manually at first). Setup a script that gets popular links from Lobsters, or Pinboard, or HN so it’s not a ghost town. Put things in it you think people want to see. You have to bootstrap you own content or people will think it’s dead and bail.

https://pinboard.in/ was pretty good, or probably still is since it hasn't change anything. It is very social, people can comment and see what others are bookmarking, they have rankings, category feeds and stuff.
