The only motivation I could possibly have for moving to the city is start a sub culture of "underground street hive" tournaments.

I think it depends on the city. I had given up on them until my wife and I visited our son in Vienna. They’re not all shot holes. Vienna I could live in. I can really think of a US city I could say the same of.
I've had friends that have lived and worked in Vienna, they seem to have liked it.
Not worth it.
