Has anyone seen Stanley Kubricks "Eyes Wide Shut"" and if so , what do you think it was about?

I'm slowly watching through his filmography.

I'm sure it's about the Hollyweird perversion.

It is really interesting in that it plays with the idea of the duality, that of paralel worlds that exist simultaenously , but never interact directly. Essentially he is playing around with the motif of illusion and the occult, but there has been endless debate as to whether or not he was actually writiing about a group in particular, or was he hinting at something more generally , but knowing Kubrick , he probably was talking about something in particular, but who ?

I'm convinced he was "in the know."

His first movie "Dr Strangelove" put him in direct contact with the U.S military industrial complex. They contacted him because his depiction of the inside of the bombing plane ( I can't remember what model it was ) was so accurate, and yet there was no publiclly available images of the inside of the craft. Kubrick had just guessed what it might look like from books that he had read.

He was definitely in touch with some serous people like , for sure . i

Yup.

It is interesting that it is the only film that Kubrick himself appears in.

I'll add the to my watch list for after I such the movie.

It was about faking the moon landing.

Yes. Seen it, didn't like it or find it interesting. Just some drama about some elite circle doing the usual elite degeneracy.
