A group of broken hearted people can go either way. Men feed into hate and resentment just as much. The difference is that men are usually able to restraint themselves for a longer period, as where women tend to feel things deeper and act "impulsively".

The irony, men tend to work on themselves, especially after heartbreak... yet they don't change much. Sometimes their personality or outlook on life doesn't really change at all. Women are more likely to change things about themselves, inside and out, to please a man.
