Studio Ghibli is Japanese Disney but better. Think I have to show Nos a film or two that they've done.
Every single thing Hayao Miyazaki has touched while the boss of Studio Ghibli was literally a world of magic. Visited the small Studio Ghibli museum (not to be mistaken with the GIGANTIC theme park they have now), was one of the coolest and best homages to everything Ghibli.

I used to follow a knit/crochet designer on insta that was crazy about it. They did family Halloween costumes that were all Studio Ghibli themed, that was where I first saw it. Everyone always seems very passionate about it, which I think is a good thing.
Oh wow costumes of Ghibli characters would be so cool!
Also yeah, it's probably one of the only things worth getting passionate about in regards to film.
Disney churns out 5000 shows and 500 films a year probably... but studio ghibli you'll get a magical new experience *every* film, and they've got less than 20 titles under their belt. It's the stuff of dreams basically. Not reality in the sense Disney is. Disney relates to modern society alot I find whereas Ghibli just takes you to another world.
A world without the concerns of mundane societal life, but rather of a existence of something so unique and surreal and yet 100% relatable.

spirited away is my favorite, but I don't remember how I felt watching princess mononoke or howl's moving castle. I watched them a long time ago. I like princess kaguya too.
