hypnagogia hallucinations could explain it though. I have experienced OOB but i think it was my mind hallucinating it
It seem some overlapping (same?) to Out of Body Experiences as described by Willam Buhlman. Before you think that's too esoteric, he is an engineer and there was some research on this.
Discussion
William Buhlman et al. stated Out of Body Experience is a "technology" you could learn.
It was first first described by Robert Monroe who founded the Monroe Institute researching and reaching OBE.
Interestingly the U.S. Military send officers to the institute to learn OBE.
> Monroe experienced an unusual phenomenon, which he described as sensations of paralysis and vibration accompanied by a bright light that appeared to be shining on him from a shallow angle.
The lucid dreaming community knows these effects well. He is misattributing hallucinations, the paralysis is so you don’t move around while you’re dreaming
after doing some research it seems like this is a different phenomenon. lots of people feel vibration before OBE instead of paralysis. hrm.
