"1984" by George Orwell is an astonishing masterpiece that I have never encountered anything quite like before.
Although it may take me a few more weeks to complete, the journey is undoubtedly worth the effort.

Follow it up with A Brave New World next If you haven’t read it yet. Combine the two to a middle ground and you have our trajectory laid out perfectly by these two Authors.

In the past I sternly avoided reading 1984 and Animal Farm for the fact that my reality is already too dark to bear more darkness.
I always loved reading romance with a grain of other genres to distract myself and feel bliss for a while.
But recently I cannot pick a book for fun and finish it.
It's like cannot allow myself to enjoy life when my compatriots are suffering.
I miss staying awake and reading nonstop for days.
So I think I'll finally give these infamous books a shot.

Yup, we need to remember that it's a fiction book, not a recipe :), take a look at breve new world by Aldous Huxley to read about the other point of view.
