I think it's fair to say that Nostr is significantly leaner, but only a little more decentralised, compared with orphaned Bluesky.

Relays are undesirable. Concepts like #Kademlia and #NOIST need to be looked at by protocol architects. Marketplaces have the potential to spawn a new social graph paradigm.
