The Illusion of the Messiah

What’s intriguing is how this expectation of a messiah—whether consciously or subconsciously—can keep people locked in a state of dependency, hoping for an external force to solve their problems. It’s a collective surrender of responsibility, in a sense, with the belief that someone 'greater' than themselves will provide the answers. This can even manifest in political or economic systems, where people look to a leader or a system to fix the issues they face, rather than realizing the power might already lie within their own ability to break free from the cycle.

Maybe but most Christians I know don’t fit this description. We are actively building a better life for our families in this world and looking forward to the return of Christ or moving on to eternity in the next.
