Often the loudest Proponents are the biggest hypocrits or even Trojan Horses (enemy spies).

Don't be naive friends. The enemies of Bitcoin have many plots and many agents!!! Beware.

Yeah. Define proponent indeed. What were they selling just a few years back? Why are they plugging the opposite things now? Decentralisation is wonderful. But does that have to mean non-eraseable? Are there any drawbacks to the giving the internet an indelible memory? Of course. The enemies of humanity will exploit the zeitgeist in their favour, whichever way the wind blows. The internet is just a tool, let's never forget it.

Come to think of it, "don't trust, verify" is a bit mantra like, isn't it? If we become uncritical absolutists about anything, allowing beliefs to replace thoughts and rules to replace principles, we can be led to the slaughter just as easily.
