Yes. Taproot channels help with anonymity of unpublished channels. Not much helps if the channel breaks, but that's an outlier.

Channel probing is made a little harder by the Oakland Protocol, which is still just a proposal.

Fees are generally so cheap that more private routing modes are practical, if we wanted to, but this might be obviated by the increasing complexity of routing.
