Martyr John the Valah, a Romanian youth, refused to convert to Islam in 17th-century Constantinople. Despite temptations of wealth and threats of torture, he stood firm in his Christian faith. He was brutally beheaded for his unwavering devotion to Christ. May his sacrifice inspire us to remain steadfast in our beliefs, and may his prayers strengthen us to resist worldly temptations.
