Two things I came across this week, that highlight the importance of being the leading force in educating your own kids.

Handwriting I saw yesterday.

"Hose ridein"

Have a go at letting me know what she meant and what age she was. Many students can't handwrite or spell anymore.

Secondly, my brother manages bars. He had a 20 something ask him how to count the nights takings of $2 coins. She couldn't do 2+2+2 or her 2x tables, had no idea.

If you are not teaching your own kids, whatever that means, then social media and schools are and that's a shit education.
