2016-2017 tundra trd … Toyota makes great trucks and these were the best (or least number of problems) years.

Actually heard good things about them. it's a hybrid with associated pros and cons. Honda pickup also pretty good?

Bought my Tundra new in 2018. 150k+ miles, many of them hard off-road, and haven’t needed to fix a thing other than normal wear items. Been my experience with multiple Toyota models.
Anything pre 2016. Stay away from #gulagcars
Buy as “new” of an old used tacoma as you can if you’re looking for a truck. I’m partial to the Land Cruiser for the third row.
In addition to, or replace?
A truck is great to haul things ( just be aware when friends want to move ). It will probably get (much) worse fuel mileage. Obvious suggestions, but coming from personal experience.
