I spoke to my godmother just a few minutes ago. She has dementia and probably should not be driving. But she is adamant about her independence.

She said she was surprised to get a call from my mom (2 weeks ago) and mom was speaking. The call originated from a XXX area code (not my mom's number).

I asked her is she had shared any personal info with this person. As it clearly was not my mom.

The scammer situation in this state is ruthless.

I dialed the number and got RNA. Probably a burner.
