The bible functionally works in twos , this foundational logic is what inspired double-blind studies in modern secular science .

If your church community is hostile & the neighboring church is equally hostile , then it stops being a question of heresy . Both are functioning as intended .

Pervasive & bureaucratic hostility reveals a deeper problem that calls into question the authenticity or value of the faith as a whole.

It requires less effort to conclude that the entire faith is invalid instead of seeking 10 exceptions like God did before he fire bombed a entire city .

Hi Michael, thanks for the reply. Here's how I see it:

“I met a local sample of hostile Christians. Therefore, Christianity is invalid,” is anecdotal evidence, not a falsification of historical or metaphysical truth claims.

Personal experience has no epistemic reach into whether God exists, whether Christ is risen, or whether Scripture is reliable. Invoking Occam's Razor on the basis of anecdata is a category error.

Such anecdotes are unsurprising as well, unfortunately, given Jesus Himself warned of widespread hypocrisy, explicitly stating that the church would contain "tares among the wheat" (Matt. 13) and that many who invoked His name would be revealed as “goats, not sheep” (Matt. 25:31–46). The existence of hypocrisy in the faith is a feature of Christian teaching, not a refutation of it.

Consider this medical analogy: I've had several terrible doctors throughout my life. Should I conclude that the entire medical profession is invalid? Of course not. Incompetent practitioners do not invalidate the truth of the discipline they claim to represent.

If you continue to visit doctors who do more harm than good , then your decision to avoid them is justified

It is why most Christians are against abortion & still-birth related health-care .

They had a bad experience & now they are making it every body else's problem .

The bible has it's own atheistic message as it forbids ritual hand-washing through sand. They banned it because it was not sanitary enough & calling the name of various gods was not helping either. Jesus had to dunk these stinky people head first into a lake to revive them from disorientation .

I do not care about your contempt against Jesus in what you typed there . You are the one who feels guilty about crucifying him , but this is not my fight . I abandoned my sword as a Christian soldier.

If you want to continue to live by the sword , then by all means : Go ahead & perish by it as well .

Incompetent health care providers gave you a vaccine that made you more sick because they did not test you for allergies .

Of course you would make a effort to avoid more vaccines in the future if the cure was worse than the disease .

This is cause and effect .
