Both! People piling in to use Bitcoin for various things (despite mine or anyone else's opinions of those use cases)

The growth in use will be volatile and have spikes/lulls. I'm personally glad to be fully prepared with lightning, and that there are many easy lightning options to onboard newcomers to!
