That might be but child porn is evil. I can understand why there would be a need to do something about that. If you would let go of rules on pedos and the distribution of child porn, you should let go off punishment for pedo hunters. That way, I might be able to accept it.

I absolutely agree, it is evil. And I'm not suggesting just letting it go; The production and distribution of child porn should be heavily procecuted, no doubt in that.

However, the nature of decentralized and censorship-resistant protocols just don't work with some aspects of the law.

Should all owners of Bitcoin nodes be procecuted if someone uploads CP onto the blockchain?

Should the Nostr node owners be constantly vigilant for the slightest sign of something potentially problematic?

That's not going to be my judgement but the government's. But Im afraid you'd be giving the government an awful lot of attack surface. If they want I'm sure they will find a judge that agrees with them to outlaw it.
