Iranian student protests harassment, stripped to underwear outside university; arrested and allegedly beaten
Reports emerged that an Iranian student staged a solo protest against harassment by stripping to her underwear outside Islamic Azad University in Tehran. The student had been allegedly harassed by members of the Basij paramilitary force who ripped off her headscarf and clothes. Following the reported harassment, the student took off her clothes in protest before walking in the street. She was subsequently arrested and reportedly beaten during the detention.
