Thinking about this issue with Bali / Indonesia threatening fines and jail time for anyone using Bitcoin "for payments".

(Putting aside for a moment the ridiculous state of their currency where the fine for such a heinous crime amounts to hundreds of millions of rupiah šŸ˜‚)

I’m reminded of a friend who could not get a licence to sell commercial paraglider flights, so instead he sold very expensive T-shirts that came with a free paraglider flight.

Could we not do a similar work-around in Bali? For example:

* Give enormous tips to our friends who like to give away free products.

* Order something online from a different country (eg a very expensive T-shirt) and get a free gift that you can conveniently collect while in Bali.

Any other ideas?
